SEVEN ARTS LAUNCHES MULTI-GENRE LOUISIANA-BASED PRODUCTION VENTURE “ESPLANADE PICTURES LLC”

Hollywood, CA: November 20, 2010--(Market Wire)--Seven Arts Pictures Plc (NASDAQ: SAPX) announced today that it has closed an initial funding of the $2,000,000 private placement for it’s new affiliate, Esplanade Pictures LLC (“Esplanade”). Esplanade will specialize in producing low-budget genre pictures in Louisiana, building on the strength and resources of its local Seven Arts’  affiliate Seven Arts Pictures Louisiana LLC. Esplanade's film projects cover multiple genres and will be produced under three distinct labels: Dark Arts, Bourbon Street and Seven Hearts.

Dark Arts will focus on the production of horror, thriller, dark comedy and science fiction titles. The first Dark Arts picture title is Schism, written by Gierasch and his partner Jace Anderson and directed by Adam Gierasch. Seven Arts has worked with Gierasch and Anderson previously on Autopsy and Night of the Demons. Following Schism, Dark Arts will start production on Thicker, which is based on the short film and festival favorite of the same name. The feature will be directed by Terry Nemeroff  and will star Leslie Zemeckis, Peter Facinelli, Guy Pearce and John Goodman.

Bourbon Street will specialize in youth-oriented titles. The first film, Booty Patrol: Search for the Golden Booty, is scheduled for production and will be directed by David Goldman, the creator of the wildly popular Internet series of the same name.

Seven Hearts will focus on family and faith-based fare. Its first film, The Horse that Saved Christmas, is a charming story involving a horse, a little girl, and a father who’s lost his way but is brought home with the help of a perennial favorite, Santa Claus. This project will be directed by James Hickox.

Peter Hoffman, CEO of Seven Arts, commented, “We are committed to Louisiana film production, which we think offers the best production incentives, crews and a favorable cost structure for independent-based motion pictures.  We are  excited to announce our film line-up starting with  Booty Patrol, Schism, Thicker and The Horse That Saved Christmas, which will continue our successful distribution of genre pictures directed to the youth audience. These titles provide something for everyone, and create a strong pipeline of projects for Seven Arts in the coming year.
